A Grand (Hotel) Day

Yesterday, we said goodbye to Paul and Jessi and headed north. We spent last night in Mackinaw City. They heard we were coming and scheduled a huge parade of big rigs to cross the Mackinac Bridge. It’s apparently an annual event. They blew their horns like an orchestra warming up.
This morning we headed over to the island. The 10:30am ferry took us under the bridge! Once on the island, we checked in and got a king room. No view, but not double beds for a change.
We had lunch at The Chuck Wagon- best burgers in the world, I swear. We bought some fudge, sat on the porch, then dressed for dinner. Tonight was the blue menu (so good!) When we get home and I’m back in the land of computers, I’ll post course by course of the meals. I took pics.
It has been a great day. I am so blessed to have this life with Mysweetwilliam.
